How Court Officiating Works:

To keep games moving, each week we will have two volunteers per “league” who set up/ break down, keep the game time & help players with measurements/ rules during the game.

Each team must volunteer for two shifts, with two players per team per shift.  Once you pick a date, you own that date. If you can no longer make it, you need to find a sub/ another team to switch with.

Reminders: We ask that court officials be present for these two hours & refrain from using your cell phones outside of Bocce related tasks while Officiating. (Please do not pick a shift where you can’t be fully dedicated)

*During the game, only Cappos can speak to Court Officials

2024 Officials will be in charge of:

- New this year, Court Officials will get to pick the music!

- 3:45 Shift Set Up: Open the Bocce box & set up balls, table, binder, etc.

- Starting the matches & giving 5 min warning

- Measuring when requested

- Settling rule disputes with Capos

- Ensure players record their scores & send picture to Irina (ERB Scorekeeper)

- 5:45 Shift Break Down: Put all equipment & table settings away. Clean up trash.
